Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

The EMT course is a 160 hour program mixed with lecture and hands-on practical sessions that will teach you how to perform basic life support (BLS). The course includes CPR, basic anatomy and physiology, medical and trauma assessment and treatment plus basic pediatric/child assessment and treatment. 

You must be physically able to lift at least 150lbs, bend and kneel. Additionally you must be able to comprehend didactic information and take written and on-line tests. Home computer access  with an internet connection is a must for this class.

EMT is run two times a year starting in February and again in September. Classes are held on a Tuesday and Thursday evening plus one Saturday a month. The EMT course is run in conjunction with Lehigh Carbon  Community College.
